Dr. Dhand has also taught in the P.G. Department of Political Science for 26 Years at D.AV. College, Jalandhar. As an educationist he has to his credit a number of research papers published in Journals, has attended a number of National and international Conferences, Seminars etc. He has also edited 'The Journal of Political Studies' in the capacity of an Associate Editor for 26 years. He has worked as the Manager and Member of Local Governing Bodies of famous D.A.V. Colleges and Public Schools. Dr. Dhand has also delivered extension lectures in different educational institutions, clubs and at All India Radio Jalandhar.
