This former airfield has been sold and is being converted to a big solar farm in the megawatt range by Gorrego Solar

Palmer Metropolitan Airport, a former private-owned/public-use airport in western central Massachusetts. Now private-owned/private-use. Identified as 13MA and previously as PMX.

FAA records show that its instrument approaches were downgraded (and Class E Airspace revoked) after it stopped being a public-access airport. The records also show that the owners would prefer that Metropolitan not be charted. It was up for sale by the owners for $1.5 million over the last few years, according to the Springfield Republican newspaper.

Not to be confused with Westover-Metropolitan Airport, which is a fully-functioning towered airport/Air Force Reserve Base nearby.
