tunnel, Natura 2000, draw only border, natural monument, Cultural heritage of Lithuania
A 427-meters-long tunnel built in 19th century. It was blown up in three places during the Second World War and was not rebuilt afterwards. The railway was detoured around the hill instead. Today a population of bats lives in the tunnel. To preserve the bats, in 2004 both entrances to the tunnel were blocked.
