is the main Roman Catholic cathedral located in Victoria Square, Perth, Western Australia. The other two being 'The Pro-Cathedral of St John the Evangelist' and the 'Most Holy Trinity Former Abbatial Cathedral'. The site for The Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception of the Blessed Virgin Mary was included in the first plan of Perth in 1838 and on February 8, 1863, the foundation stone of the cathedral was laid by the Bishop of Perth. The cathedral was later blessed and opened, on January 29, 1865.
The cathedral was partially rebuilt and extended in 2009.
