    Queen Kapiolani Hotel Management has cost effective rooms within Waikiki Beach area and the Ala Wai provides mountain stream from Moana(UH) to Pacific Ocean. Adding the view of golf course landscape and mountain view of the Pali Lookout. A must see, local bus can drop your group off for scenic views (otherside) of Kailua, Oahu; while you appreciate the Windward breezes atop Pali. circa 1977

    Krapiolani, their rooms are pretty seedy and they make you pay $2 to actually use the coffee packets they put in your room, nice people at the restaurant and a cool Lynchian atmosphere in the halls. Great view of Diamond Head too. Tolerable, but definitely one of crappier hotels in Honolulu. Has Character
