Birmingham, AL 35203

Corporate headquarters for Regions Financial Corporation. Previously AmSouth Bancorporation's headquarters. The building was built in the 1970's and known as the First National-Southern Natural Building after its two tenants First National Bank (predecessor to AmSouth Bank) and Southern Natural Resources. It is 30 floors and opened in 1972. The name of the building changed in the early 1980's to the AmSouth-Sonat Tower when First National Bank changed its name to AmSouth and Southern Natural Resources to Sonat. After Sonat merged with El Paso Corporation the name of the building again chaged, this time to the AmSouth Center. When AmSouth merged with across the street banking rival Regions and the merged bank took the Regions name, the building became the Regions Center.

This tower is not becoming a Renaissance Hotel. This is the former Sonat tower which is connected to the former Amsouth-Harbert tower and part of Amsouth's corporate complex. It is now the corporate headquarters for Regions Bank. The former Regions headquarters across 20th Street North (a 17 story structure) is the building that was sold to become the Renaissance Hotel.

I am informing this Regions corporate of an incident dealing with an representative at the Fort Lauderdale, (Broward) bank. Her name is Jenifer Foster, her supervisor is Ivi Spiro....After several times walking to this bank, Jenifer Foster and other agents always seem to be in a meeting with their supervisor...I have waited sometimes 20 minutes, along with other people to get some help. !!! This day about a month ago, after not getting help calling the bank to save me coming into the bank, I request Jenifer to help me. I was already upset, in poor health, just out of the hospital, of which I asked her to open up another account for me, as there were to many people that had my banking information, of which I was to sick to put a stop to debits that caused overdrafts!!!! Jenifer states she's (Been more than nice to me) denies keeping me waiting, many times coming in for help. Furthermore she tells me, if I don't calm down, she was going to call the Police , and have me kicked out of the bank!!!!! That was all I needed....I got up, and once leaving her she said, I'll open another account for you NOW....Upon leaving the bank, my blood pressure was I'm sure the reason I ended up with Chest Pains. I am requesting that you do the Regions customer a favor and deal with both ladies, and have them send an apology to me. As far as where I opened my account one year ago, it was at the Plantation Office in Sunrise, with David Petterson, one of the nicest bankers whom I never got a chance to tell him how I was treated at the bank in Broward closer to me. I purpously withdrew $700.00 December 2nd, as my social security is all I live on. Leaving 20. cents!!! Either you compensate me for the nightmare this bank location caused, or I am switching to Wells Fargo by January 3rd.
