Endangered species - Night Heron.

This is the old pond beside the Bijoli Dutta Lane. It has millions of fishes. The trees surrounding it are homes o several species of birds. A family of stilts live in the bushes around the pond. You can almost everyday see a black drongo sitting on a telephone line by the pond. The bulbul birds play in the colocasia plants beside it. At dusk the night herons, which is an endangered species, can be seen here.

But reckless garbage disposal is destroying their natural habitat. Please stop dumping garbage and wastes around the pond.
