West of Tripiti village in a little valley there are the ruins of Catholic Monastery.. One of the most important Gothic monuments in Greece. It was built by the Cistercian monks, who arrived in the Peloponnese during the Frankish rule. A second Catholic monastery of the same guild is the Monastery of Zaraka in Stymfalia. Impressive in size and typical of Gothic architecture was built in 1225 and destroyed in just 40 years later, when it was burnt down by the Byzantine troops. The remains of the impressive building standing back from the church of St. Nicholas. It is about a large building, the length of the church is more than 40 meters, from which have survived the north wall and the west apse. North of the church there are traces of the cells of the monks.
