Ranelagh House

Australia / New South Wales / Mittagong /

Ranelagh House was built as a private hotel in 1924 by a Melbourne investor. It became the base for WRAAF training during the Second World War. In 1946 the property was acquired by the Franciscan Fathers and became the centre for their training house and seminary, known as St Anthony's College. The building reverted to private owners in 1972 and has been run as a guest house, function and conference venue since that time.

  • When I was very young, in the early 1980s, my father and mother, Milan and Zarena Dostal, helped to operate Ranelagh House and we lived there.
