Former largest nuc WSA in the northern part of Germany. Built 1962 and ops 1963. An Army Corps level site under Northern Army Grp (NORTHAG) command containing:
- nuclear artillery shells
- Corporal (UK only), Sergeant, Honest John and Lance missile warheads
These were supposed to be used by the 1st German, 1st Netherlands Army Corps and the British Corps units defending the North German Plain in case of WW3.
Practical supervision: 552nd US Army Artillery Grp, 162nd Ordnance Company
Security supervision: 162nd Ordnance Company, 255th MP Company, No US Army Field Artillery Detachment assigned. Deactivated and closed 1992; property sold 2003.
