Administrative district (raion) of North-Western Administrative Okrug, and one of the 125 raions of Moscow, Russia.
The former "Tushino" town site. Most of North-West Administrative Area (NWAA) local governments (prefecture, courts, social and central militia of NWAA) are located here. Also here are: main NWAA's highway - Volokolamskoe within underwater tunnel; 3 railroad stations, including large "Tushino" station; navigable "Moscow" channel within 6 locks and dam; Khimki Reservoir; "Tushino" airfield; military plant "Red October"; hydroelectric power plant; recreational forest "Pokrovskoye-Streshnevo-Glebovo" within mansion ; main hospital of Ministry of railroads; english-american embassy's village and school; ortodox temple 1888 year; and many other interesting places.
A lot of gardens, water and bridges.
