City in Poland, Silezia voivodeship.Bielsko-Biała (Czech: Bílsko-Bělá; German: Bielitz-Biala; Hebrew: בילסקו ביאלה‎) is a city in southern Poland with a population of approximately 171,259 (in 2018). The city is a centre of the 325,000-strong Bielsko Urban Agglomeration [pl] and is an industrial (particularly automotive), transport, and tourism hub. Located north of the Beskid Mountains, Bielsko-Biała is composed of two former cities on opposite banks of the Biała River, Silesian Bielsko, that had been settled by German colonists, and Lesser Poland's Biała, which merged in 1951.
