-100 years of educational excellence – Heritage, Pride & belonging (a sense of belonging to something greater than oneself) -Great English core instruction and a precursor of the French immersion program in the 90′s (30 years) -2 track school allowing students to easily transition from one program to another (at choice) without having to uproot them and disrupt the stability of their environment. -A large school with great ammenities – cafetaria, gyms, green space, high ceiling, large windows etc. – A warm, inviting environment embraced by children. - A teaching staff that is nurturing, involved and above all dedicated. Teachers that care not only about each individual childs’ needs, but who care about the school and its place within the community, its history and its successes. TEACHERS AT NESBITT SHINE – THEY SHINE BECAUSE THEY HAVE ROOM TO GROW AND BLOSSOM IN A DYNAMIC ENVIRONMENT -Nesbitt speaks to Sense of family – it is a community in and of itself. - A Phys Ed program that goes above and beyond the call of duty through innovation and inspiration. (Juggling, Circus, schoolwide soccer tournaments, lunchtime organized sports etc… - One of few schools that I know of that has a mandatory homework program at the daycare. WINNER – this respects parents busy schedules and further supports family, the extension of. That’s just the beginning, BUT ABOVE ALL…. MY CHILDREN LOVE NESBITT AND THEY DON’T WANT TO LEAVE. THEY ASSOCIATE NESBITT AS A HOME AWAY FROM HOME – When Mom and Dad aren’t areound, they’ge got Mr. Bob, Ms. Mary, Ms. Angela, M. Max, Ms. Silvana, Mme. Ségin, Ms. Fina and Ms. Lorraine, only to name a few. These names resound with pride in our home…names of teachers and staff whome my children speak of with a glitter in their eyes. THAT’S WHAT MAKES NESBITT SPECIAL – BEYOND THE BRICKS AND MORTAR LIES A COMMUNITY OF EXCEPTIONAL EDUCATORS WHO INSPIRE … and who have become an extension of my own family.
