The Ghirardelli Chocolate Company is a United States division of Swiss candy-maker Lindt & Sprüngli. The company was founded in San Francisco, California in 1852 by Italian chocolatier Domingo Ghirardelli. While production has moved mainly offsite, some chocolate is still made here. It's a favorite spot for tourists, as they can watch the chocolate being made, and buy chocolate goodies at the shop.

    Wow, the chocolate nearly overwhelmed me! The smell is intoxicating as well! Didn't eat any though, far too many calories. Acts as a normal resturant inside, only serving ice cream or chocolate.
