Mashkovtsev is a small extinct volcano with a crater at its summit and lateral cinder cones. The eruption that created Mashkovtsev was during the Post-glacial era. Mashkovtsev, also known as Mashkovtseva Sopka, is located south of the mouth of the Kambalnaya River, near the Cape of Lopatka.
