Takiya Suleimaniya Complex (Damascus)

This complex was designed in 1553 by the famous archictect Sinan, sometimes referred to as the "Ottoman Michaelangelo". It was built as a resting place for place for pilgrims traveling to Mecca, and named in honor of Suleiman the Magnificent.
