Small community adjacent to Kingscliff, and situated on the Tweed River at a locality known as Chinderah Bay. Chinderah is a popular tourist destination with several caravan parks and various other forms of accommodation available. Visitors make use of the river for fishing, boating, swimming and other water sports. Nearby surf beaches are also popular. There is also a light industrial area servicing Kingscliff and surrounding districts.

    Also the place of a hotly debated proposed marina. Some say it will damage the river by erosion and cause wildlife disruption, aswell as increase traffic. Others say it will boost the profile of the sleepy village.
