The Clark County Historical Museum opened on New Year's Eve, 1909, sharing space with Vancouver's first public library.

The building is one of 43 Carnegie Libraries in Washington and was the first public building in Vancouver to have electricity installed.

It was listed on the National Historic Register in 1981.
