A freshwater lake and a surrounding nature reserve just outside Fleet. It was once popular with Londoners for ice skating and even had a small railway station built near it. There used to be a second pond although its exact location is unknown, and the current pond was reduced in size first by the railway and then during the Second World War. You can see across it from the railway if you are entering/leaving Fleet from the Farnborough direction.
