Bamseom is a pair of uninhabited islets located between the larger island of Yeouido and the north shore of the River Han. The islets cover a total area of 241,000m²/59.5 acres and have a length of 1.147 kilometers/0.71 mile.
The islets are connected to one another by a narrow strip of sedimentary silt. The Seogang Bridge passes directly over the western islet but there is no access to the islets.
Migratory birds often use the islets as the islets have been left as a nature sanctuary and there is an observation area for bird-watching.
