Approximate place of WW-2 Soviet submarine wreck. At early morning May 22, 1943 Soviet Baltic fleet headquarters received a radio message from this boat showing that she was blocked by enemy antisubmarine forces, that they were under depth charges bombing and batterers out of power. When oxygen was over, Soviet sailors were forced to accept their last battle. ShCh-408 tried to surface and get the artillery duel. German aircrafts and boats together with Finnish patrol vessels annihilated the submarine. Nobody of 41 crew members survived.
