Abandoned Mine

Sweden / Uppsala /
 place with historical importance, production

The area has been mined for centuries, but the modern mining complex was built right after World War II when metal ore was in high demand and low supply. It was a modern and very automatic mine in the middle of the forsest of nowhere. However, economic changes forced it to close down suddenly in the 1970's. The complex still remains as it was left, and only the most valuable part have been removed.
