Unfinished hotel "Chayka" is a very noticeable construction, which is located on the central main of city - Moscow avenue. Hotel has 500 beds and it was originally planned to be constructed to the Olympic games in -80. On the first project the building had 14 stores. Building begun at the beginning of the 80's, but it was stopped in 1981, because of problems with power and ground. Architects developed a new project, which consists of 2 combined houses, raising to the height of 8 floors and concert film complexes. Then financing the project was stopped, since designers could not optimally solve the problems of power supply of the complex. Building passed into the discharge of dolgostroya, and then nedostroya. The reconstruction projects to complete the object appeare from time to time from the 90's, but they still remain unrealized. Today further fate of the project of "Chayka" is unknown, since it is located in nature-conservation zone.
