Blaise Castle is an 18th-century mansion house and estate near Henbury in Bristol (formerly in Gloucestershire), England, now run as a museum by Bristol Museums. The museum is housed in a late 18th century, Grade II listed mansion. Blaise Castle was immortalised by being described (by a character who frequently lies) as "the finest place in England" in Jane Austen's novel Northanger Abbey. Along with Blaise Hamlet the parkland is listed, Grade II*, on the Register of Historic Parks and Gardens of special historic interest in England. Used as Sherwood in the 1983 film Robin Hood and the Sorcerer.
