St. Agnes Academy, founded in 1912, (formerly Academia de Sta. Ines) is a Benedictine-run school in Legazpi City; the oldest Catholic school in the province of Albay, Bicol, Philippines.

The school provides education for kindergarten, preschool, elementary and high school. It is a sister school of St. Scholastica's College in Manila. The school is a co-educational institution. In its early history, St. Agnes was an all-girls school but in the 1980s its enrollment was opened to male students.

  • saint agnes is where students are smart
  • This is where I met Erica Larracas...
  • As far as I know the Sps. Domingo Magbanua Arjona and Isabel Imperial Aldea donated the lot where St. Agnes Academy stands now to the Benedectine Sisters during the time of Rev. Fr. Calleja sometime between the years 1910 to 1920. This was told to me by the late Anna Cabigao married to Mr. Juan Cabigao of the former Premier Secretrarial School located beside St. Therese of the Child Jesus Hospital of the Ante Family. Records may be verified with Ms. Virgilia Arjona Ante who was one of the former muses of the school during her days....May God Bless Us All....
  • I was told before that the surrounding areas of St. Agnes' were once part of the school until the sisters donated their lands to the homeless after WWII. These areas include the St. Agnes' village, the lot of Bayantel, and some parts of velamor. this information still needs to be verified though.
  • As one of the most historic institutions in Albay, the Academy needs to have a museum and an Archivist. This is necessary in order for us to properly understand the school and it's history.
