Mall 205 opened in 1970. The auxiliary mall at one time had normal anchors like local nameplate Troutman's Emporium, Rite-Aid, and Montgomery Ward but today has The Home Depot, a two-level Target, Bed Bath & Beyond, and 24 Hour Fitness. However, despite the ambitious renovation with big-box anchors, the interior mall is not doing well.

I went in there a couple years ago when I moved to town to see what it was all about. Very disappointing. My dad helped open the old Montgomery Ward when it was there, back in 1970. I really thought I was going to see some good stuff, but wow... It's like a ghost town.
