  • A historical place on the bank of the Adi Ganga. It is the gateway to a vast hinterland in south 24 parganas. A Bazaar area that boasts of the freshest vegetable and fish in Calcutta. No other bazaar can boast of live fish in that quantity and variety. Metro Railway passes along. Bansdroni picked up its name from Bangsho Dron that means a bamboo forest. How wonderful was our valley and one has to see our urbanization has killed it. However the safest place in terms of social security and public vigilance.
