  • Quite an interresting town, make sure you visit if you go to the province of Quebec. Don't miss the 'Bars du portage' and 'la maison de la pizza' restaurant. There are also a show room and a bunch of interesting stores on the boulevard 'l'ange gardien', the main street. During august is the 'L'assomption en fête' festival, a rather large cultural event(for the size of the town), you may purchase there the famous 'ceinture flechée' for a hefty price. If you like the more rural area then you could go at the 'haut l'assomption' further on the boulevard 'l'ange gardien' and enjoy the local cheese makers.
