city, ruins, ghost town
Belchite is a town in Zaragoza province, Spain, about 40 km southeast of Zaragoza. On August 24, 1937, it was the site of a major battle of the Spanish Civil War. As a consequence, the city is now divided into the old city and the new city. The old city remains as a ghost town tribute to the Spanish Civil War.
