Palisades Tahoe, formerly Squaw Valley Ski Resort, in Olympic Valley, California, is one of the largest ski areas in the United States, and was the host site of the 1960 Winter Olympics. Palisades Tahoe was designated a California Historical Landmark in 1960 during the Olympic Games.
