Ausable Chasm

A 2+ mile sandstone gorge on the Ausable River, starting at Rainbow Falls and running north. Referred to as the "Little Grand Canyon", it is one of the oldest natural tourist attractions in the USA - operated since 1870. The tourist attraction has undergone some extensive damage in the past from very large storm waters The worst in 1996 (www.ausablechasm.com/floods.htm).
