Ruins of pharaonic city of Nechab, settlement since pre-dynastic times, reached its peak as one of the most important cities of pharaonic Egypt in the Middle Kingdom and until the Ptolomean times. Huge defending wall surrounding the city stil to be seen with remains of different temples.
