Byndoor railway station is a one of the important railway station in costal Karnataka. Bus stand is walkable distance. World famous Sri kollur Mookambika temple is 28 km from Byndoor. Every 30 minutes. Bus service is available from 6.30 am to 8 pm..Someshawar beach is safe and natural beach "God's dream beach" is 3 km from railway station.Ottinenne sunset view is a dream view and nature's gift to man is 3 km from railway station.

  • Byndor a utter rural area and north border village of Kundapura taluk. There is nothing but Shri Mookambika Temple Kollur is nearby. Major outside devotees are from Kerala and there is requirement of train connectivity & it should be Kerala-Kollur Express, thats it !! But Konkan Railway (KRCL) trying to uplift this station by giving stops to all express/super fast trains which coming from Mumbai & Bangalore for no reason. Because of this development hardly negligible number of devotees & 10-20% local people benefitted. Majority (more than 80%) of train travellers are from surroundings of Kundapura cannot access Byndoor. Surprising there is no stops for major trains in Kundapura!! Even though Kundapura is main and important for every reasons like - geographically central place of Taluk having larger area coverage with higher number of population/households, city jurisdiction, well-connected-roads to railway station, hospitals & hospitality facilities, education centers, major government related offices, business/trade center etc. Why majority of people of taluk get suffer? Why not stoppage at Kundapura station for all the trains which coming from Mumbai? KRCL, rectify the wrong calculation about Byndoor Station and please re-align all importance to Kundapura as soon as possible!! Regards,
  • True, Kundapura is better and safer place even for outside visitors of Mookambika. City has better facilities (Hotels/Lodge/Transportation etc.). Even distance-wise it is ~38km to reach Kollur. From Byndoor to Kollur is ~28km. While considering to safety and other facilities of Kundapura, 10Km extra road travelling would not be issue and definitely outside visitors can afford.
