1 and 3/4 miles long !!! WTF !?!?!? The longest disused train tunnel in Ireland is in Lissummon near Newry and that is 1 mile long exactly. The tunnel near New Ross (Mount Elliot is its name) is only just over 700 yards long so it is about 1,000 yards short of a mile...
