Originaly built by Southern Company, the building served as the headquarters of Southern Company Services until the early 1990's when Southern Company moved further down highway 280. The building under went a large renovation in 1996 and became the headquarters for First Commercial Bank and its parent company, Synovus, Synovus Mortgage headquarters.
