  • Manasi Ganga is the spot where Krishna called Ganges for Nanda Maharaja and others to take bath. It so happened that Nanda Maharaja felt to have bath in Mother Ganges and he prepared to travel towards the sacred river. Then Krishna, the little naughty and wonderful boy told them that there was no need to do so because he would call her in that place. This spot is also authorized by Bhaktisiddhanta Saraswati Thakura (An acharya in Brahma-Madhva-Gaudiya Sampradaya) as the lotus mouth of Sri Govardhana. A stone here with the impression of Lord Krishna's crown glorifies the place. According to Caitanya Mahaprabhu, one should have dips in Manasi Ganga first and then start Govardhana Parikrama and the Parikrama will be complete at this spot only and one should have dips in Manasi Ganga at the end of the Parikrama.
