Founded more than 300 ago by Sheikh Yousuf Abu Shara, Tayiba embraces the seat of Gadiriya Islamic Sect and the attached Quranic school or khalwa. Population circa 5000 all litrate thanks to the 2 primary shools founded in 1908 and 1946 fot boys and girls respectively in addition to the khalwa
