On National Highway 76, at a distance of 38 kms from Kota, stands Kachnawada fort speaking silently of the grandeur and valor that was once synonymous of the Hadas and their land Hadoti.
Six kms off the Shivpuri-Pindwari Road, now being converted into a six lane express way, Kachnawada Fort is built over an area of Two Hectares (4.5 bighas). In the southern part of the desert state of Rajasthan, this fort presents a unique picture with the Kali Sindh, a tributary of the mighty Chambal River, flowing on one side and a dense ravine forest, as far as the eye can see, on the other.

The Kali Sindh, flowing on the eastern side, with its clean water, and beach like banks, not only presents a great view from the fort, but also has immense potential for activities such as boating, fishing, swimming, beach activities and even crocodile breeding. The adventurous could even consider the option of camping on the bank or a houseboat on the river.
