    mithi is one of the beautiful city of sindh with a majorty of sindhi hindus,about six years ago we went mithi to see the desert of sindh.i was shocked to see still there was water but not good to drink .i hope during the last sindh govtt when thari cm was appointed as cm of sindh would have changed the lives of people.

    Actually manjority of people in Mithi and srounding area are Hindu Rajasthanis and not Sindhis, they speak a language closely related to Marwari called Dhati/Dhatki.

    Older name of mithi is fatah garh, when talpurs were ruled on sindh they also made their fort in the western side of mithi town, which is called as gaddhi now tourist point, mostly peoples keeping animals for their economy and agriculture is totally based on rainy season, if there were no rain than majority of peoples migrated to the barriage area of sind. Literacy rate of this town is 80% much more better than other towns/cities of sindh

    In an ancient time one oldest woman named mithi by causte bajeer lived there and she drilled a well, when drilling completed sweet water come from that well instead of saltish as usual in sindhi sweet means mitho so name was keepint on this town as mithi

    old history is already mantioned by other fellows , latest , there is a deserted area which have been now decorated and facilitated by sindh government and nowadays it became a picnic place for sindhis, i also enjyed there when rain falled there , many people of many different areas comes here to visit and to enjoy their vacations and to enjoy the season.....for more contact sahil_raj@yahoo.com thanx

    Another strange thing of mithi is that mr Mahesh malani now mna,on reserved seat, and district president of ppp, who won from mithi polling station and lost rest of the polling stations of his constituency, another thing is that now a days during peoples party govt. they are creating vandalism grounds in mithi, and they posted the government servant according their choices, so i think it should be included in mithi's history... before him the ruler was ARBAB'S and now malani's, so on the backhand they both are together, and on screen they are showing that they are opposite, and workers are suffering... conclusion is that now a days the virus of malani's is surviving not in mithi but aroud the district... if nobody can beleive then g

    This is Jayanti Arjandas Thakkar(ASNANI) , my roots belongs to MITHI. My grand-father late Shri Gehimal Parumal Asnani came here (India) in the year 1946 (before Partition ). My grand father Late shri Gehimal Asnani was a Post Master and he was Post Master .I am Sindhi Lohana ( Laadaaee)almost all our Asnanis living in Mithi and other parts of sindh. I love my native place MITHI. MITHI is located in lower portion of Sindhi, which is close to Rajasthan and kutch. Thar parkar is the largest portion of the sindhi. Presently, I living in Adipur-Gandhidham, Gujarat India.
