Phipps Plaza, owned by Simon Property Group, Lenox Square's upscale sister is an 821,000 square foot (76,000 m²) mall. In 1969, Phipps Plaza opened as the first multi-level mall in Alanta and was anchored by Saks Fifth Avenue and Lord & Taylor. A $140 million renovation and expansion in 1992 saw the addition of a Parisian department store.
