Underground station for tramways which drive through the North-South underground tunnel or which go towards the 'Gate of Anderlecht' (Porte d'Anderlecht).
The weird look of this station is due to the fact that it was originally planned to use the North-South tunnel as a heavy metro tunnel and therefore a more adapted station has been built under the station Lemonnier we can currently see ; but the heavy metro never entered into service and this "phantom station" is not in use (like much public transport infrastructure around Brussels).
The station is decorated with paintings by Hamsi Boubeker.
