  • Dear Readers , By the grace of Goddess Gorakh Kali I happened to be one from Amritsar Punjab India to visit this holiest Hindu Shrine in the mid of dense forest and up hill foot steps made of rocks may be in hundreds and after climbing so much high when you feel all alone in the jungle of hills and when u look upwards suddenly you see a very well built black gray stoned temple with huge steep steps and you think as you are going to heaven bcz here at this point sky joins the hilly steep steps only nothing else.and when you reach the last step there is a small door which you enter while bowing down your head only.Here you are greeted with a blessed hand and a smile on the face by the chief priest residing there.You feel at home and you see many high mountains from there and below so deep valleys and suddenly some gun fires there from top of all the hills and the military gaurds at this very temple return the fire signalling their counterparts that a genuine devotee has come as this temple holds the royal deity GORAKH-KALI.The main pecularity of this temple of Gorakh kali is that the door of the temples sanctum sanctorium is always closed and that is only opened once in the year when the king of Nepal visits this temple and that too he can see the deity under a curtain as the door closes for the whole year again.The legend is there that whosoever tries to see the deity except the king and the priest dies within a year.The Goddess is so furious in nature. Actually this place is the secret TAPASYA STHALI of GURU GORAKH NATH JI SO IT IS CALLED GORAKH KALI.You can see many small caves which you cant even creepingly enter all around this hilly temple. How Guru Gorakh Nath did so much secret pooja in these small caves which are even smaller than the Famous cave of Vaishno Devi in Jammu & Kashmir in Northern India.And no one can guess where those caves might end as at such atop of hill how these caves go straight and where is a mystery always.Very spectacular view of hills and valley so much Eternal can be felt only by seeing itself only.So pious so loving High Priest that you can feel if you are meeting a fatherly figure of your own and also the temple of Guru Gorakh Nath Ji where you can see hundreds of Trishuls and Chimtas of Nath Yogis tied.There is also a Yagna shala of Guru Gorakh Nath Ji where the holy fire is still burning since the centuries by Guru gorakh Nath Ji Himself. I had been to this Temple of Gorakh Kali In Gorakha District of Nepal.When coming back from the temple down wards out of curiousity I asked some village kids that if they ever had Darshan of Guru Gorakh Nath ji they smiled and told me that many of them have seen Guru Gorakh Nath Ji many times coming there Himself flying down from the skyways. So wonderful so Blissfull is the place. Jai Maa GORAKH KALI.
