Opened in 1922 as Springwells Township Hall, the Marcus Burrowes-designed building became Dearborn City Hall when the City of Fordson (née Springwells) and the Village of Dearborn consolidated into the City of Dearborn. The City Hall west wing, of similar vintage and built as the Springwells Police Dept. is connected by a 1981 addition. The Township Hall building is on the Michigan State Register of Historic Places.
