Named after David Prescott Barrows, political science professor and president of the university from 1919-23. Home to Political Science, Sociology, African American Studies, Ethnic Studies, Near Eastern Studies, Asian American Studies, Chicano Studies, Native American Studies, The Energy and Resources Group, Department of Gender & Women's Studies. The Barrows name was removed in November 2020, and the building will be referred to as the Social Sciences Building until it is renamed.
