This village came into existince with Gang Canal in 1920-1925.Population under 5 hudered.Higher secondary school since 1962.Two pucca link roads with main road.About 20 families of Jat Sikhs of Athwal/Atwal subcaste came from Chak 93 Chitti of Dit Lyalpur Pakistan.Quite an educated village having many graduate and post graduate in Govt job.Almost all families in foriegn countries.S.Hari Singh Dukhia(Late) , S. Bakshish SIngh Athwal and S. Chanan Singh Athwal a village elder played major part in the progress of the village.

  • REFRENCE TO athwalraman jee.YOU GET IT WRONG,SIR.I Dr Gurdial singh Atwal was responsible only to create the precise location/information of my village by indicating on wikimapia in the present form.I was born about 20 years after the village came into existence.That is the reason i expressed my respects to all village elders who played some parts in the progress of the village.My creative role confines only to maping of village and markings of houses in wikimapia.Not to forget all elders like BABA families,Jodh Singh,Dalbir Singh,Charan Singh,Atma singh,Lal singh,Banta Singh,Thakur Singh,Naseeb sigh,Dhanna and Doulati kotwal to whom i saw in my younger formative years .Some of them left the village for better avenues.Thank you Mr Raman for taking intrest.
