  • The School was once considered among the best institutions in Public Sector in the late 50's, 60s and the 70's, however it start deteriorating from 80's onwards. It had two sections, one was called the Junior Model School, which was coed up to class V and restricted for Girls from VI to X. Boys studied the remaining five years VI to X in the adjacent building named as Senior Model School. The school had a rich tradition of sports and literary activities and produced good students. Its alumni includes some famous and legendry personalities. The school however lost its prestigous position due to continued neglect and loose administration on part of the education department of the Government. The school building too is in shambles these days.

  • When I attended this school (1975-1980)it was a wonderful and most prestigious school I really miss my those wonderful days I love my school Senior Model Secondary School
  • I studied in this school from class 2 to class X. My passing out was in 1968. One of the best school of its time where even teachers from foreign countries use to come for training. There were teachers such as Mr Ata Elahi, Mr Qaiser jameel, Kazmi Sahab, and many others of class and grace. These teachers are my mentors and I achieved the position of General Manager in a top ranked company in my service. Our principal was Capt Mohammad Ali. He use to beat with cane to the late comers but the best part was that he use to treat his own son like this. Man of principles. The library, auditorium and other extra curricular activities were extra ordinary. Golden days to remember.

  • ma b is school parta tha 1998 nice school
  • Looking at the teachers I see, who are educating our children in Rs 5000 per month school, the teachers we had in Senior Model school were angels. Ata Elahi, the best teacher anyone can hope to get in a school, use to give private tuition, but students were strictly prohibited from disclosing this in the school. Such was the honor and self respect these teachers had. Alas, like all good institutions in our country, this great school also got ruined at the hands of our government. Other teachers I remember from those days were Mr Murtaza (English, another great teacher, Ms.Sajida(Arabic/Islamiyat). I graduated in 1973.
  • There is a site on Face Book for Senior Model School where Atta Elahi Sahab is a member as well.
  • I started in the Junior Model school from class 2 and graduated from Senior Model School in 1968. Syed Zahidul Hassan was in my class. I had a great time at school. I led the school cricket team to the semi finals in the inter school cricket tournament. Losing in the semi finals was a great dissapointment.

  • Assalamo Alaikum to all Modellers. My name is Qamaruzzaman Siddiqui and I belong to the batch of 1976 of Government Senior Model School. My email contact is zamanbaber313@gmail.com and my contact no. is 0308 2017387. It was our pleasure that our beloved teacher Mr. Ata Elahi was in our city of Karachi in the month of Januray. He stayed at Services Club opposite Metropole Hotel Karachi for 3 to 4 days. In fact he was invited by one of his students of perhaps 1964/65 batch whose name is Mairaj Zia Zuberi. Mr. Ata Elahi informed me that he is coming to Karachi to 3 to 4 days so inform his students of the yester years to meet him at Karachi Services Club. I informed all the students of my circle as well as of the previous years to gather and meet Sir Ata Elahi on January 07, 2013 collectively. It was a short notice but number of previous students including myself was there to meet Sir. It was a wonderful occasion when we were all gathered at Services Club and met Sir Ata Elahi and passed a memorable time of almost 2 to 3 hours with him at the arranged dinner there hosted by his yesteryears students. Al-HamdoLillah, Sir Ata Elahi is still fully active and he can even recognize his students very well. It is a particular blessing on him by the will of Allah. May God bless him with more and more active and healthy long life. He is an asset not only for us but to our this country as well. His type of remarkable and excellent teachers are now very rare in our country. My dear Modellers I have got a significant honor with respect to Mr. Ata Elahi that I have written a categorical poetic attribution in his honor and I read it before him and all present there at Karachi Services Club on 7th January. The memorable pictures of Sir Ata Elahi with all the participant students and with me of course are being uploaded on face book by me and I am also trying my best to upload my poetic attribution for him in recognition of his paramount services for Senior Model School, for us and of course for this country. Those Modellers ( all students of Government Senior Model School ) can see the latest pictures of Sir Ata Elahi on my facebook Id i.e Qamaruzzaman Siddiqui and let me have their comments over the pictures and over my poetry for Sir Ata Elahi. I would like to pay special thanks to Sir Ata Elahi and all participants of the occasion of 7th January who acknowledged, liked and appreciated my effort.
  • I joined the school when it fist opened in 1956 in grade 6. When I was in grade 8, Janab Atta Elahi joined school faculty to teach us Math. He instilled in us a sprit of competiveness and the love of learning Math. I met Janab Atta Elahi on Sept 18, 2013 in Lahore at his residence. He mentioned that Monty son of Headmaster is living in Houston. I was able to find him and had a long chat with him. Monty was in my class as his father had failed him although he was one grade higher than me before. My e-mail is amadkhan164@yahoo.com
