Built in 1999, the Archdiocesan Shrine of Jesus, the Way, the Truth and the Life is the only Catholic church in the entire Reclamation Area and is is a popular Visita Iglesia stop in Metro Manila.
The shrine, which is under the jurisdiction of the Archdiocese of Manila, takes its name from Christ's words in John 14:6:
"Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me." (Latin: "Via, Veritas, Vita")
