Interesting that this bridge is named for someone who wasn't even in the neighborhood when it was built. John Quinlan was an Irish immigrant, the third owner to run the nearby gristmill, but he did not come to Vermont until the late 1860s or early 1870s.
The bridge was built in 1849.
