Built by the Saudeleur Dynasty between the 8th and 13th centuries.Built as a sort of Royal city by the Saudeleurs to seperate themselves from commoners Nan Madol is built on man made islets and jetties.Canals served as streets through the city, giving Nan Madol its name which tranlates to "Spaces Between".
