The sunday's vegetable and grains market used to be held here previously. But now it has been shifted to Gupta groud. This ground is not in good condition today. However yearly Raam Leela Mahotsav is still held here.

The adjoining places suggests that this ground was infact the center of major activities in the past. The road towards it left goes to 'Mangalwara Ghat',the ghat existing before the main ghat. To the other end of this road is 'Balaganj' and if we go further we will reach 'Gwaltoli'. Both of these areas are very old. There is an old cinema hall named 'Basant talkies' adjacent to this ground. City's main market is towards right.

We can guess that there will be a 'haat' on sunday like the one that takes place in Gupta ground today. People will take bath in Mangalwara ghat, see a movie in Basant talkies, do other shopping in the near by market and go home in the evening.
